About FDNY Ner Tamid Society
Our Purpose
1. To promote the religious spirit of Judaism among the members of the fire department of the Jewish faith.
2. To promote the religious spirit of Judaism among the families of the members of the fire department of the Jewish faith.
3. To promote social relations.
4. To promote understanding, friendship, and cooperation among all fire department members of all faiths and beliefs.
5. to promote and collaborate in general welfare work.
6. Cardinal principles shall be protection, friendship, and charity.
Membership
Membership in this Society shall be confined to members of the Jewish
Faith, and are Uniformed or Civilian employees of the Fire Department of the City of New York.
Associate Members: The Society will accept members of the Jewish Faith in paid Fire Departments in the Metropolitan area who have no Jewish organization affiliation(s), with the same rights and privileges as retired members of the Ner Tamid Society.
